The SU softball team picked up four wins in the beginning of the week after defeating Catholic twice and Stevenson twice.

Last Tuesday, the Gulls took two games from Catholic in a double header 9-2 and 5-3. SU was led by junior shortstop Kelly Waskewicz who went 3-for-5 at the plate and scored four runs over the two games. Senior pitcher Stacy Davis (11-2) recorded both wins after picking up 12 strikeouts and only giving up two runs in 10 and two-thirds innings.

Last Thursday, the Gulls defeated rival Stevenson in two games 11-1 and 12-0.

SU received two outstanding pitching performances from Davis and sophomore Kelsey Mills. In game one, Davis struck out 10 batters in six innings after giving up only one run. In the second game, Mills pitched a complete game after allowing only two hits and one walk, and she struck out seven.
