Sports Beat - Women's Lacrosse

The No. 1 Salisbury women’s lacrosse team smacked Ursinus College 24-6 in a non-conference game last Tuesday. 13 different players scored for the Gulls.

The Gulls (11-1) scored five early goals before Ursinus (1-8) scored one. Salisbury controlled the entire first half and went into halftime up 13-5.

Four different Sea Gulls recorded four-point games including senior midfielder Ashleigh Gender, junior attacker Beth Rhodey, sophomore attacker Meagan Osipowich and freshman midfielder Sarah Clemmens.

Sophomore attacker Trish DiGirolomo and freshman midfielder Carrie Bray each recorded three point games. Senior goalkeeper Sonja Stuart played the entire game and finished with five saves and scooped up a team high of five ground balls.
