Policy changes to protect students from binge drinking

Salisbury University’s drug and alcohol policies were changed this semester in an attempt to help students make better decisions. Although information about grades remains private, the University now plans to notify parents if students violate drug and alcohol regulations. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) provides a provision allowing institutions to disclose information related to alcohol and drugs to the parents of students under the age of 21. Celebrating “unity” through art

The Fifth Annual Art Faculty exhibition, ‘Unity through Diversity,’ kicked off this semester with new and previous members of the SU art department displaying their work in Fulton Hall’s University Gallery. "Each member of the art faculty works independently on their own then submits whatever they like for the show," said Edward Brown, Assistant Professor in the art department. No. 3 Sea Gulls fly through week winning four games

It was a tight game Wednesday night for the No. 3 Salisbury University women’s field hockey team (4-0, CAC 1-0). The Sea Gulls were able to escape with a victory over No. 13 Christopher Newport University in front of a crowd of 300 under the lights at Sea Gull Stadium. Editor’s Corner - Government’s lack of foresight shown in Fannie and Freddie

On Sept. 8, the federal government announced that it would be placing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, two of the country’s largest mortgage lending companies, into a "conservatorship." This was done in an effort to calm the financial world and to ensure the continuing flow of capital into the mortgage market.
